Diodes can be generally divided into two categories: rectification diodes and switching diodes. The relationship between the voltage drop of the diode and the current passing through the diode is called the forward characteristic curve of the diode. The forward conduction current of the diode changes with the change of the forward voltage UF, thus realizing the rectification of the AC power supply.

It has a PN junction reverse voltage of 800 volts, a peak repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400 volts, and a peak transient forward current of 280 amperes.
