B4860NSE7QUMD is an advanced embedded processor designed for low-power, high-performance applications. The processor is based on the Power Architecture embedded microprocessor core, incorporating the Embedded Microprocessor Core Architecture v2.0 as well as high speed extensions. It is capable of clock speeds of up to 2.2MHz and has four main pipelines, allowing applications to achieve higher performance and lower power consumption than other embedded microprocessors on the market.

The B4860NSE7QUMD is 16-bit processor with up to 64KB of internal SRAM, and an on-chip 16KB instruction cache and 16KB data cache along with a 32-bit programmable local bus, as well as two high speed serial ports and two internal timers. The processor also provides an extensive range of I/O devices such as serial and parallel communications, DMA, and external buses.

The B4860NSE7QUMD has several features that make it well-suited for embedded applications.
