BA08CC0WFP-E2 comes with 7 pins and its pin description is given as listed below.

  • Pin 1 : VIN – Voltage Input, can be from 6V to 8V.
  • Pin 2 : EN – Enable Pin, Input signal here to enable the IC.
  • Pin 3 : OUTPUT – Output Pin. Output voltage is provided at this pin which regulated as per the demand.
  • Pin 4 : GND – Ground terminal of the IC.
  • Pin 5 : F1 – Feedback Pin, connected to output of the IC to control the output voltage.
  • Pin 6 : F2 – Feedback Pin for the pre-set output voltage.
  • Pin 7 : ADJ – Adjust Pin, used to connect Output voltage setting resistor (R1). Resistor R1 sets output voltage.

Working Principle

The BA08CC0WFP-E2 acts like a switch at the input side. If a voltage is present in the VIN pin, the Enable pin (EN) is triggered and it will enable the IC. If the EN is LOW, the internal circuitry of the IC will be OFF and the current will not flow out at the OUTPUT pin. When the EN pin is triggered, the IC will work as a Voltage Regulator. This means it will convert the incoming voltage to specific output voltage according to the output voltage level at the F1 and F2 pins. The ADJ pin is used to connect the output voltage setting resistor (R1). The resistor R1 is used to set the output voltage level at the F1 and F2 pins. The internal circuit of the IC is designed in such a way that it converts the incoming voltage to the specific output voltage at the OUTPUT pin by comparing the voltage at the F1 and F2 pin.
