The BA6222 is a Motor Drivers and Controllers family from Panasonic\'s Programmable Motor Integrated Circuit (PMIC) series. It is a CMOS integrated circuit with a voltage-controlled gee (VCG) drive method and PFC (power factor correction) for motor control and speed control. The BA6222 is ideal for applications that require small and low power motor control such as fans, motors, pumps, and other equipment.

The BA6222 has two types of operation modes; mode 1 being a speed control mode, and mode 2 being a torque control mode. In mode 1, the motor speed is measured using an A/D converter then this signal is inverted and speed is then controllable. Mode 2 is a torque control mode which is used to control the torque of the motor. The BA6222 supports a wide range of voltage regulation, such as 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, and 24 V.

The BA6222 features a voltage-controlled gee (VCG) drive method and an integrated PFC (power factor correction) for more stable and efficient operation. The VCG drive is a method for controlling the speed of a motor based on the voltage of a voltage source. The PFC is a circuit technique which increases the power factor of the motor, thus reducing the current draw. This in turn reduces the amount of power consumed by the motor allowing for increased motor efficiency and longer motor lifespan.
