PMIC or Power Management Integrated Circuits are important components used in various automation and control applications. Amongst many applications, motor drivers and controllers, form an imperative application segment, often requiring precise and consistent control over the motion of the motor. BA6285FS-E2, is one such motor driver/controller IC, often used in the various motor control applications.

This motor driver IC is based on the half-bridge configuration, enabling symmetrical and efficient control of the motor. The datasheet of this PMIC has maximum voltage ratings of 50V and a minimum operating voltage of 8V, making it ideal for wide variety of applications, including automotive or industrial uses. It features a direct transistor drive i.e. a PWM, high and low switching outputs and provisions for the low speed control. It has a low output voltage drop, enabling the control IC to work efficiently with low input voltage and high current drivers.

The error detection circuit monitors the two transistors and when the two are misconfigured, the error detection circuit triggers an error message to alert the user of the misconfiguration.
