BA7657F-E2 is an electronic component within the Interface - Analog Switches - Special Purpose family. It is an analog switch integrated circuit (IC) which can be used to connect one or two low impedance signals to a single point. This device has a wide range of applications in delivering and switching low impedance signals in audio-visual, computer and telecommunications devices.Essentially, the BA7657F-E2 operates as a switch or selection device. It consists of two low on-resistance single pole double throw (SPDT) switches that can select between two signals. Furthermore, the IC is available in both single-channel (1-channel) and dual-channel (2-channel) versions. It features low off-isolation attenuation when the switch is off and low switch-on resistance, low on-resistance, low residual voltage when the switch is on.Functionally, the two SPDT switches in the IC allow two of the control inputs to be connected to either one input signal ("atIn") or another input signal ("bpIn") as shown in the circuit below. The control terminals to operate the two switches are connected to logic "high" and "low" inputs respectively. When the logic “high” input is applied to the control terminal, the "atIn" signal is passed through; conversely, when the logic “low” input is applied to the control terminal, the "bpIn" signal is passed through.
