BD50HC5WEFJ-E2 voltage regulator is a linear voltage regulator used for a variety of power management solutions related in consumer, industrial, communication and computing applications. It is a three-terminal adjustable regulator with relatively low dropout voltage. It is specifically designed for voltage regulation in consumer applications such as battery-operated products requiring up to 2A. It has a wide range of features and handles low dropout voltage while providing excellent regulation at input voltage down to 1.5V.

The BD50HC5WEFJ-E2 is constructed with a 4-pin dual-in-line surface-mounted package and utilizes a P-Channel MOSFET as a pass device. This results in a high power efficiency and low quiescent current. Moreover, the BD50HC5WEFJ-E2 IC also contains a fast-start circuit, which is beneficial when used with capacitive loads with low ESR, such as MLC capacitors.
