The BD9E101FJ-LBGH2 is an integrated circuits (IC) designed for applications requiring highly efficient power transmission and regulation. It is a non-isolated DC/DC switching regulator, operating from input voltage sources between 2.5 to 6.5 V and able to produce an output voltage from either 0.7 to 6.2 V or –7.2 to –0.7 V. It has adjustable output current limit, with a maximum value of 800mA.

This IC is composed of two main stages. The first is a high-side control circuit, with logic control interface, preamplifier, power supply, and a current sense amplifier. The second stage is a low-side control circuit, with an operating amplifier and driver/control logic. It provides a power conversion efficiency of up to 95%, as well as an improved thermal efficiency and low noise level, thanks to the use of both differential and low power oscillator outputs.

The control logic interface allows for the use of digital signals generated by external devices, such as ORP controllers, alarm systems, or temperature controllers. The control port can be connected to a microcontroller, to enable remote control of the regulator. It has an adjustable operating frequency up to 500 kHz, enabling compatibility with a wide range of loads and switching module designs, depending on the required output current.

The BD9E101FJ-LBGH2 has an integrated built-in overtemperature protection feature. This can be adjustable to limit the power allowed through the device to prevent overheating and heat damage. It also has under-voltage lockout protection, which will disable the output when the input voltage is too low, to protect the device and the load from damage.

The BD9E101FJ-LBGH2 has a wide range of applications, including LED backlighting, AC/DC adaptors, and industrial control systems.
