Film Capacitors
Film capacitors, also known as plastic film capacitors, are passive electrical components made by laminating two metal electrode layers onto a continuous film dielectric material. The thin, light film materials used in film capacitors, such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene-terephthalate (PET), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyphenylene oxide (PPO) and nylon are known for their high dielectric strength, high insulation resistance and wide frequency range.
The BFC237945514 product is a series of film capacitors manufactured by TDK Corporation. These capacitors are specifically designed to withstand high voltage stresses, vibration, and humidity. They are available with a dielectric option of polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and can operate in temperatures between -55 to +85 degrees celsius. The capacitors can also handle very high voltages, ranging from DC rated voltages of 5V to 1000V and AC rated voltages from 10V to 720V. In terms of their capacitance, the BFC237945514 series is available in values ranging from 0.1μF to 10μF.
Application Field:
The BFC237945514 series of film capacitors are widely used in electronic equipment and telecommunications applications, as it offers a good balance of performance, cost and reliability. The capacitors can be used for AC and DC blocking, filtering, blocking, high-voltage surge protection, noise filtering, and signal coupling. These devices are also commonly used in power supplies, power supplies and switching circuits, motor drives, medical applications, and LED lighting and LCD display applications. In addition, the capacitors are also suitable for use in motor running, high frequency switch mode power supply, and high-end audio applications.
Working Principle:
Film capacitors are designed to store and release energy within a circuit. They work by trapping and storing the electrical charge between the two electrodes on the capacitor, and then releasing the charge in the form of an electric current when the voltage applied across the electrodes changes. The capacitance of the device can be adjusted by varying the area of the electrodes and the thickness of the dielectric material between them.
When a voltage is applied across the capacitor, the two electrodes form a wire, and a charge is developed. This charge induces an equal and opposite charge on the opposite electrode, known as the counter-electrode. As more voltage is applied, the electric field between the electrodes increases and the capacitor stores more charge. When the voltage is removed, the electric fieldbetween the electrodes decreases and the energy stored in the capacitor is released back into the circuit.
The working principle of the BFC237945514 series is similar to the other film capacitors. These devices are designed to handle high voltages and currents, while still providing excellent noise dampening and filtering capabilities. The capacitance of the device can be adjusted by changing the dielectric thickness and the area of the electrodes, as well as the frequency range of operation. This makes them ideal for a wide variety of applications.
