This means the optimum brightness of the display can be quickly and accurately adjusted at any brightness level.
The BH1621FVC-TR boasts a wide array of features that make it a powerful device for ambient light, infrared (IR), and ultraviolet (UV) sensing applications. It features a high-performance 16-bit I2C/One Wire interface, with a low power mode that consumes up to 95% less power than traditional products. The device supports fast reading and integration times, with a maximum converison rate of 6.3KHz, and it covers a wide range of temperatures, from 0°C to 50°C (with customizations up to 80°C). It also features a high-performance on-chip calibration engine, to ensure precise and reliable readings at any light level.
The BH1621FVC-TR works according to the integrated bipolar sensing circuitries. In the ALS sensing function, the incident light is detected by the sensor diode and converted into current. The current is then converted into a voltage level through the amplifier which is then sent to the comparator.The comparator converts the voltage level signal into a digital signal and is further acted as an input to the ADC, where the signal is converted into a digital count value. The digital count value is then sent to the I2C/One Wire port for further processing.
In the IR/UV sensing mode,the device uses an analog input stage to measure the incident IR/UV light. The analog output is then converted into a digital count by the integrated ADC.The digital output is then delivered through the I2C/One Wire port for further processing.
