The BH1721FVC-TR is a digital ambient light and IR sensor developed by ROHM Semiconductor using a built-in ambient light and IR sensors. It is capable of sensing flux density levels with current consumption of only 1.3 uA and supply voltage of 2.3V to 3.6V. The BH1721FVC-TR has a range of detection from 0.1 lx to 128 K lx with a resolution of 0.45 lx.
The BH1721FVC-TR has an output of light by 16bit resolution digital signals, and provides digital output of USB, serial and I2C. It integrates IR cut filter of visible light and infrared light, and also complies with the lighting industry standard ANSI/IESNA LM-79-08. The device also includes linearity correction,supports dual settings with two methods, Pin define and I2C command settings.
