The BQ27010EVM evaluation board is one such board, providing users with the ability to measure, program, and evaluate functions of a BQ27010 battery gas gauge IC.
The BQ27010EVM is intended to provide an integrated solution for managing and monitoring the state of lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery cells using the Texas Instruments BQ27010 gas gauge IC. This evaluation board is capable of evaluating the BQ27010 gas gauge IC and is also designed and tested for use with various types of cell pack configurations. The BQ27010EVM supports a wide variety of battery cell packs in series and parallel configurations, including cylindrical, prismatic, and pouch cell configurations from 1 to 60 cells. The board can also be used in combination with thermistors, current measurement resistors, and other components to evaluate the BQ27010 as a standalone gas gauge solution.

The BQ27010 calculates and stores an accurate capacity, voltage, and time remaining remaining values through use of a patented Flexible Accuracy and Capacity (FAC)Fuel Gauge algorithm. This algorithm is designed to accurately measure and calculate the system capacity, voltage, and remaining time of charge cells in a wide range of applications.
The BQ27010\'s advanced battery monitoring and management features provide users with a high level of flexibility in designing their battery applications. The IC can be programmed with a variety of settings, such as battery capacity, depth of discharge, threshold voltages, temperature compensation, and cell override functions. This makes it possible for users to customize and optimize their battery systems to meet different application requirements.
The BQ27010EVM evaluation board supports up to 60 cells in a variety of series and parallel configurations.
