It is an AEC-Q101 qualified device which has a current rating of 35A. This bridge rectifier can be used in both high- and low-voltage applications ranging from 0V to 30V with stand-off voltages from 5V to 20V. Its high surge current capability makes it ideal for fuse replacement applications. This device is also designed to withstand high surge currents, high clamping voltage, and transient protection.The BR35005W-G is designed with a high efficiency forwarding current and low reverse leakage, making it especially suitable for automotive applications. This bridge rectifier has a junction temperature range of -40 to +150 degrees Celsius and an SOIC-8 package which has a pin 5 marking. The device is constructed using four symmetrical elements which are connected in a bridge rectifier configuration. The two terminals of this bridge rectifier are connected across an alternating current (AC) supply.The working principle of the BR35005W-Gis based on its four symmetrical elements, which form the bridge rectifier. These four elements are P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs (metal–oxide–semiconductor field effect transistors). Each of these MOSFETs is connected in series with a diode in order to form the bridge rectifier. When the AC supply is applied across the terminals of the bridge rectifier, the MOSFETs turn on alternatively depending on the positive or negative cycles of the AC supply. The MOSFETs turn on in the direction that allows the diode associated with it to conduct current. This process is repeated for both the positive and negative cycles of the AC supply and the result is a full-wave rectified output of DC.The BR35005W-G allows for efficient and reliable energy conversion from an AC supply to a DC supply. This bridge rectifier is particularly useful in automotive applications as it is designed with optimized characteristics for hot plugging and reverse polarity protection. It can also be used in a variety of other applications such as battery chargers, lamps, switches, and power supplies.
