The BSC9132QDS starts with the basics, offering a signal source and measurement instrument 1-box design for the testing of a wide range of RF frequency components, including: cables, antennas, switches and filter banks.
The BSC9132QDS contains a variety of hardware and software components to suit many different applications. Hardware consists of two rack mount enclosures, two user configurable signal generators (up to 6GHz), two oscilloscopes (up to 4GHz bandwidth), two user programmable power sensor/conditioners (up to 6GHz) and one user programmable controller board. Additionally, the system includes a universal ANSI/IEEE-488 GPIB interface, an isolated data acquisition board, an Isolated Data Acquisition System software package and a dedicated remote graphical user interface (GUI).
The BSC9132QDS application has two main parts. First, an RF Test Instrument can be used to measure the signal frequency, amplitude and phase response of the selected components. This is accomplished by connecting the components to the signal generator and using the oscilloscope to measure the signal. There is also the ability to add distortion measuring components like spectrum analyzers and noise figure meters for certain components. Secondly, a remote control GUI to program and configure the user programmable components.
