Reed Relays
A reed relay is an electrical switch consisting of an insulated case containing a coil of wire and a number of reeds. Reeds are thin strips of metal, typically made of stainless steel, nickel-iron alloy, or silicon iron. They are hinged and have a physical contact gap at one end.
