If the voltage on the “Gated Terminal” is less than the threshold current or removed completely, the Thyristor ceases functioning and the load current is stopped.

The working principle of the BT131-600,412 is the same as that of any other Thyristor. When the gate voltage, known as “V_GT”, is greater than I_GT, current flows through the BT131-600,412 and the load current flows as long as the gate voltage stays high. When the gate voltage is reduced below IGT, the BT131-600,412 stops conducting and the load current is stopped.
