BU1CTD3WG-TR Application Field and Working Principle
The BU1CTD3WG-TR is a three-terminal adjustable voltage regulator designed to drive up to 5A of load current at an output voltage of varying up to 6.8V. The BU1CTD3WG-TR includes a built-in Zener reference, current limit, and thermal protection. It operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 30V on the voltage regulator and has an excellent line/load regulation of 0.2% maximum and output voltage accuracy of ±1.5%. In addition, it is available with a range of output voltage options, including 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V and 6.8V. It is guaranteed to deliver up to 5A of load current with no minimum load.
The BU1CTD3WG-TR works on a standard voltage regulator principle. Current from the input (Vin) is regulated by a circuit voltage divider and/or a reference such as a Zener diode.
