Working Principle of BU46K292G-TL Supervisory
The BU46K292G-TL Supervisory consists of a high-voltage comparator, a low-voltage comparator, a timer, a reset circuit, and a voltage divider which divides the input voltage into a reference voltage and an adjustable detection voltage. As the input voltage increases, the reference voltage also increases, thus the voltage between the reference voltage and the adjustable detection voltage becomes more pronounced. When the voltage difference exceeds a preset threshold, the output goes high, as a reset signal.
When the reset signal is low, the BU46K292G-TL Supervisory’s timer starts to accumulate time. When the timer accumulates an amount of time equal to the set reset time value, the output signal goes low and sends the reset signal. The reset signal is then propagated to other circuits, setting them in a predefined state.

The BU46K292G-TL’s features include a low power shutdown mode, low current consumption, high voltage input range and low output voltage. It has a wide adjustable voltage range from 0.45 to 5.5V with a tight threshold control and integration of a power-on reset (POR) circuit.
