Working Principle
The BYT261PIV-1000 operates as a boost reverse rectifier and is built with a single channel configuration. The device is mainly composed of three components: an N-type MOSFET, a source resistor and a diode. The diode operates as the rectifier, while the N-type MOSFET controls the current flow.
When applying the voltage, the device will start to boost the voltage and store it in the N-type MOSFET. As the voltage reaches the clamping level, the diode will start to conduct, allowing current to flow through it and then out of the device. As the device is supplying the current, the voltage will slowly fall. When it gets below the clamping voltage level, the diode will turn off and the N-type MOSFET will pulse stop the current flow. This will ensure that there is no current leakage and increase the efficiency of the device.
