Diodes are electrical components that allow the flow of current through an electronic circuit in one direction only. This rectification process is done using a diode bridge, also known as a full-wave bridge, which is composed of four diodes to form the shape of a Wheatstone Bridge. The BYT56J-TR is designed to offer superior performance in a single package. Its package offers low Rth(j-c) which is the thermal resistance junction-to-case. The working principle of the BYT56J-TR is based on the electrical behavior of a diode. When a diode is connected to a power source, its current output is limited to the forward bias voltage.
