BYW36-TR is a diode rectifier of single type. It has high current capability, high surge current capability and minimal reverse current leakage. Its application field is wide and varied. It can be used in many kinds of appliances, including rectifiers in AC/DC power supplies, rectification of industrial product, LED lighting, Motherboards, SMPS, and Automotive applications. This diode rectifier is also suitable for applications requiring high power and short switching speed.

BYW36-TR consists of two major parts: an anode, known as the cathode in diodes, and a cathode, known as the anode. The anode is typically made from a conducting material such as silicon, but it can also be made from a semiconductor such as gallium-arsenide. The cathode is usually made from another conducting material such as aluminum, zinc, platinum or nickel.

The working principle of this kind of diode rectifier is based on the concept of forward biased junction rectification. When the diode is forward biased, the forward biased junction develops a small reverse voltage across it. This reverse voltage drops the current down to a very low level, thus achieving rectification. When the diode is reverse biased, the resistance increases and the current drops until only a very small amount flows through the junction and the barrier potential prevents further current from flowing. This is where rectification happens.

BYW36-TR is also equipped with special features such as reverse peak voltage of 400 volts, forward voltage of 2 volts, reverse current limit of 10mA, forward current of 10A, junction temperature of 175°C, and capacitance of 35pF. Furthermore, it has a maximum operating temperature of 125° C and is available in three different packages that are designed for specific applications. This diode rectifier is also RoHS compliant so it is safe to use in any environment.
