The main board of evaluation kit contains a 16-pin male header, which allows you to connect the daughter board containing a prototyping area. This area is supplied with unsoldered terminals to allow for easy connections to peripheral devices. This area contains all of the major components and subsystems of the C8051F22x microcontroller such as the oscillator, port control, reset, and debugging circuitry. In addition, it has also three connectors for electronic modules, which enable additional hardware such as A/D converters, D/A converters, and other modules.
