The C8051F386-GQ is an ultra-low-power 8-bit microcontroller powered by the core MCU 8052. It combines the extensive array of I/O and peripheral functions of the 8095 core and the innovative Special Function Register (SFR) architecture optimized for 8- and 16-bit embedded applications. Highly developed on-chip development tools such as SFRs, extensive RAM and EPROM/ROM, a keypad terminal and a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator make the C8051F386-GQ well suited for embedded control applications that require simultaneous control of up to 16 I/O pins. In addition, the C8051F386-GQ offers a 28-pin 100 mil zero profile QFN package, small tolerances and the ability to perform highly accurate digital and analog functions.

The C8051F386-GQ is optimized for power saving. It incorporates a unique 0-bit Sleep MODE that utilizes a peripheral shut-off mechanism to reduce power consumption. This ultra-low power design enables high-performance applications that run on batteries as well as other devices featuring limited power sources. High-performance applications such as digital security systems, microwaves, devices, sensors and machines require reliable control with extended accuracy and low power consumption. The C8051F386-GQ allows these applications to perform with power savings from an ultra-low- Sleeping state.

The C8051F386-GQ is also suited for timing measurement applications. For example, it provides precision 10-bit Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator, allowing the user to accurately measure velocity, pulse speed, frequency and other timing measurement tasks. Timing can also be controlled via the integrated 32-bit timer. The C8051F386-GQ is highly recommendable for advanced real-time embedded applications that require accurate timing management.

The C8051F386-GQ is also designed for stability as it offers an 8-bit Watchdog timer in order to avoid sudden device reset in case of an unexpected system behavior.
