Working principle:
The C8051F567-IM is powered by an 8-bit 8051-core processor with extra instructions and peripheral connectivity, allowing developers to tailor their system performance and cost. The processor executes instructions out of its on-chip flash memory, and has features such as timers, counters, UART, SPI and I2C interface controllers, a 10-bit ADC, Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA), watchdog timer, and an equation solver.
The C8051F567-IM features an Enhanced Lock Bits (ELB) protection control to secure its on-chip resources from unauthorized access. It also provides an internal oscillator that can be programmed to any frequency from 1 MHz to 25 MHz. The oscillator also consumes very low current in active and idle mode, making it suitable for cost sensitive applications.
As for its USB Host/Device capabilities, the C8051F567-IM supports USB 2.0 Full-Speed and includes an integrated device and host controller.
