Working Principle

The C8051F582-IMR uses an 8-bit harvard architecture CPU core with a single-cycle instruction and single-cycle data access. Its on-chip features include 8Kbytes of program memory, 8Kbytes of RAM, and 256 bytes of ROM. It also contains an array of I/O ports, timers/counters, an A/D converter, and an on-chip crystal oscillator.

The CPU core of the C8051F582-IMR can operate either in single-cycle or multi-cycle mode. In the single-cycle mode, instruction execution is completed in a single instruction cycle. This allows for fast instruction execution, efficient code execution, and fast interrupt response.

The integrated memory of the C8051F582-IMR comprises of 8Kbytes of program memory, 8Kbytes of RAM, and 256 bytes of ROM. The program memory is used to store the user’s program.
