In addition to its 50 MHz CPU/ADC, the C8051F921-F-GM also includes an on-chip LCD, Flash program memory, and several input/output features.
The C8051F921-F-GM contains an 8051 core, 8kB Flash program memory, 256 bytes RAM, and many I/O features. Its 8051 core offers high performance, with a maximum instruction cycle of 24 clocks per 8-bit instruction and a maximum executed instruction rate of 6.25 MIPS. The C8051F921-F-GM has 32 GPIO pins, 14 16-bit counters/timers, 4 UARTs (with selectable baud rate), three 16-bit Pulse Width Modulators (PWMs), 2 channels for quadrature decoder/position counter, 2 16-bit SPI interfaces, and 2 10-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The PBBR register allows GPIO pins to be used as address busses for easier port expansion.
The C8051F921-F-GM also offers excellent power management features. Its power levels can be adjusted through the on-chip regulators with selectable supply voltage from 1.8V and 3.3V. It also features a power down mode, an active sleep mode, and an ultra-low power consumption mode to reduce power consumption while in use.
