Working Principle

The floating gate transistors in CAT93C56XI-T2 are arranged in parallel with their drain electrodes connected to power supply and their source electrodes connected to ground. In this state, the transistors act as capacitors storing the charge, which is read and written using the voltage applied to the control gate.
