The CC1150-RTR1 RF Transmitter is a highly efficient radio transceiver designed to be used for long range communication applications. It is based on a CMOS IC and features an integrated RF power amplifier. It has a transmission power of up to +8 dBm, which makes it ideal for long-range applications. The output power is adjustable from -10 dBm to +8 dBm. The RF output is filtered by an adjustable low-pass filter, which can be used to limit the operating frequency range.
With an ultra-wide band operating frequency, the CC1150-RTR1 is suitable for various applications such as ISM band communication, wireless sensor networks, mesh networks, and remote telemetry systems. The SFR mode enables multiple frequency hopping patterns to be generated. The AFH mode, on the other hand, allows channel changes to be adapted to the specific communication environment, resulting in improved packet delivery and link quality. Furthermore, the transmitter is equipped with a Wakeup Receiver (WUR) that enables it to wake up the receiver from low-power mode.
In addition to transmitting, the CC1150-RTR1 also supports reception. It is capable of receiving plain unmodulated or data modulated radio signals. As well as that, it also supports receive diversity, which allows two or more receivers to operate in parallel in order to achieve better range and greater immunity to interference. It also supports fast frequency hopping to reduce interference and improve range.
In order to ensure data security, the CC1150-RTR1 supports AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption. This feature allows data to be encrypted using a 128-bit encryption key. Also, the transmitter can be used in conjunction with Secure Access Link (SAL) protocol. This protocol adds an encrypted identification layer to the transmitted data, providing an additional level of security. Finally, the CC1150-RTR1 supports the CCA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access) and CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance) protocols, which enable efficient flow control within the network.
