Working Principle of CD4850W2UR Solid State Relays

The working principle of CD4850W2UR SSR is similar to that of other SSR. Specifically, SSR works by using the input control signal to switch on and switch off a photoflash-like circuit consisting of a phototriac coupled to an opto-isolator. The input control signal triggers the opto-isolator. The opto-isolator in turn activates the phototriac, which turns on the output circuit. As the output of SSR is on when a low level voltage is applied, the working principle can be described as “Low Level Voltage ON”. When the input control signal is deactivated, the opto-isolator turn off the phototriac,and the output circuit turns off, making the SSR “Low Level Voltage OFF”.In CD4850W2UR, the reinforced insulation is a constituent part of the SSR. The reinforced insulation helps to isolate the high and low voltage regions and solutions. This ensures the safety of both operators and the load.
