The CG790MS is a Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) device that consists of multiple elements for protection against various types of high-voltage surges. It uses gas-filled tubes alongside metal oxide varistors (MOVs). The MOVs, which are usually zinc-oxide, absorb up to 95 percent of the surge before it reaches its two equally sized tubes.
