CGCAP20162 is an integrated chip that gathers power, non-isolated AC/DC/DC digital control switch series necessary for power conversion. The CGCAP20162 integrates a switching regulator, a high-frequency PWM modulation, a motor driver, a linear voltage regulator and a current detection comparator. The output voltage of CGCAP20162 is determined by the duty cycle of the PWM signal. When the duty cycle is 0%, the output current is 0, and the output voltage is equal to the input voltage. When the duty cycle is 100%, the output voltage is equal to the differentials pressure (output voltage of VD plus the forward voltage of the switching element). The output current is controlled by comparing the input voltage with the feedback voltage and regulating the duty cycle.
In addition, the CGCAP20162 is also able to support synchronous rectification and efficiency improvement. The synchronous rectification technique is based on the shorting of the switch element, that is, when the switching element is on (active), it is connected to the output, and when it is off (inactive), it is connected to the low-resistance path, so as to achieve the effect of rectifying the current.
