Application Field

The CGRB307-G diode has numerous applications in many different industries and fields. Working Principle

The CGRB307-G diode is a semiconductor device which acts like a one-way valve for electricity. It is made up of two layers of semiconductor material, an anode and a cathode. The anode of the diode is usually connected to a more positive source of electricity, while the cathode is connected to a less positive source. This arrangement causes current to flow in one direction, from the anode to the cathode, due to the diode\'s one-way gate structure.

Once the current reaches the cathode it is effectively blocked from flowing back to the anode as a result of the way the semiconductor junctions are configured. This prevents any unidirectional current from being redirected back to the power source, and therefore prevents short-circuiting or overloading of the circuit. It also prevents electricity from flowing in the reverse direction which is particularly useful in protecting equipment from being damaged as a result of reverse polarity.

The CGRB307-G is exceptionally reliable and durable. It is capable of operating at temperatures of up to 155°C in both forward and reverse bias and is able to handle peaks of over 7 A which makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
