Working Principle
The CLC021AVGZ-5.0 Serializer/Deserializer (SERDES) is comprised of dedicated serializer circuits and dedicated deserializer circuits. The serializer converts parallel data streams into high-speed serial data streams that are suitable for transmission over long distances. The deserializer converts the serial data streams back into their parallel format. The chip also includes buffer memories, control logic, and interface circuitry.
The serializer section of the chip is composed of a data selector, data register, clock generator and shift register.
