Working Principle

The CMRD4835 consists of a thyristor, resistors, and complimentary drive circuitry. The main component of the block diagram is the thyristor, which can be thought of as a bi-directional controllable electronic switch. This switch is opened or closed based on the control signals sent to the gate of the thyristor. The resistance of the thyristor depends on the gate voltage, making it possible to precisely control the state and position of the switch. The resistors in the circuitry help to limit the current flowing through the thyristor and the drive circuitry helps to control the position of the switch.
