Common Mode Chokes typically include a set of three inductors that are connected solution, each of which is characterized with a specific constructed geometry. The most well-known example of this kind of choke is the CMS3-11-R, which is a combination of three inductors that form one complete choke. This type of choke works by limiting common mode currents while simultaneously allowing for an uninterrupted pass of normal mode currents.
