The CPDT-24V-HF TVS diode is a device designed to protect sensitive electronic components from voltage transients caused by external sources such as lightning, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and induced voltages. TVS diodes are widely used in various electronics applications including industrial, consumer, automotive and military, where protection from voltage surges is necessary. The CPDT-24V-HF is also designed to protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. ESD is caused by an imbalance in static electricity between two bodies. ESD protection is achieved through the same anti-parallel diode pairs as described above. As the voltage from the ESD event passes through the diode pairs, the PNP diode will start to turn “on” and the NPN diode will start to turn “off”, directing the current to ground and providing protection to the system.
