The CQ202-4NS-2 is a TRIAC (TRIode for Alternating Current) and is a semiconductor device that controls analog and digital circuits for a wide range of applications. It is most commonly used in power control, logic switching, motor control and lighting. Its ratings are 600V,3A, 35A/60A peak.

The TRIAC can be used as an AC switch, dimmer and time delay circuit, it can be configured to trigger at various points in a half-cycle. This allows the power output to be adjusted by using a varying gate trigger voltage; achieving low power control in digital, logic, and motor applications.

To ensure longevity and reliability of the CQ202-4NS-2, special attention must be paid to pay to the heat dissipation. If the proper steps are not taken, it can overheat and be damaged as a result. A mounting bracket or a heat sink should be used to provide adequate cooling.
