CS5171BSTGEVB is an evaluation board for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. It is designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation system for synchronous buck regulators. This board uses CS5171, a high performance Buck controller with integrated MOSFETs to design a large switching power supply. The CS5171BSTGEVB board includes a high efficiency DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS, a comprehensive set of control signals and isolation including isolation transformers, RF filters, and EMI filters.
The CS5171BSTGEVB allows users to quickly and easily evaluate design performance and parameters with relatively little effort. This board is also fully compliant with the latest energy efficient standards such as 80 PLUS and Power Supply Requirements. Additionally, the board is designed to support up to 32A maximum current for 12V DC/DC synchronous buck regulator applications.
The CS5171BSTGEVB board is designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation system for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. The board includes a high efficiency synchronous buck regulator with integrated MOSFETs, a comprehensive set of control signals, isolation including isolation transformers, RF filters, and EMI filters, a programmable current sense and temperature sense networks, a wide range of voltage and current sense loops, and a programmable power stage.
The CS5171BSTGEVB supports applications including industrial equipment, medical instrumentation, LED lighting, servers, computing and storage, base station infrastructure, and various other SMPS applications. The board is designed for flexible operation with multiple power conversion topologies, customized output voltage and current regulation, as well as programmable voltage and current sensing and monitoring capabilities.The board features two Validation Circuits (VCC & VCT) that allow users to view the entire power cycle accurately and efficiently. The VCC circuit can be used to accurately measure the DC voltage output during a load transient. The VCT circuit allows users to measure exact timing and current characteristics of particular power delivery events. Additionally, the CS5171BSTGEVB also features a built-in thermal monitoring circuit that enables users to design and test their design for maximum thermal efficiency and protect against thermal overload. The board is also equipped with a programmable quick charging monitor that allows users to easily set up their power supply for fast charging. The board has a variety of integrated features that are designed to make it easier to develop and troubleshoot power supply designs, including an integrated JTAG port, programmable phase angle control, logic signals, and a signal generator. In summary, the CS5171BSTGEVB is an evaluation board that provides users with a complete system for DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS evaluation.
