The CS5361-KSZR is a special purpose, data acquisition system-on-chip (SoC) which combines a 6-bit high-speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC), buffered voltage reference, filters and other signal conditioning components. It’s one of the most powerful analog signal processors on the market, offering a wide range of features to applications such as medical imaging and high speed data acquisition, as well as industrial and instrumentation applications.
The CS5361-KSZR can be used in a wide variety of applications and is very versatile in handling both signal bandwidths up to several hundred MHz as well as low-frequency signal acquisition. The ADC can sample up to 48 MHz and is programmable for different sampling modes to accommodate signal bandwidths. The buffered voltage reference and filter components add flexibility to applications that require precision accuracy and bandwidth. The digital section of the CS5361-KSZR allows four digital outputs, providing control to other devices as required.
The CS5361-KSZR features a selectable current source to deliver a precisely defined, stable voltage reference suitable for both low- and high-impedance applications. The low-noise converter can efficiently eliminate unwanted noise and harmonics, allowing for the very accurate measurement of wide-dynamic-range signals. It also has a reference voltage channel that can be trimmed for improved accuracy. This is valuable for applications such as medical imaging, where accurate detection of small signals is critical.
The CS5361-KSZR also offers a differential input stage, which increases performance in applications such as high-speed data acquisition, industrial, and instrumentation applications. The differential input stage provides improved sensitivity, better noise rejection, and improved bandwidth. These hardware blocks provide fast FFT, interpolation, and decimation, allowing for optimized implementations with limited resources.
