The CS5507-ASZR is a high-speed room temperature, voltage-to-frequency analog-to-digital converter specifically designed for automotive applications. It is capable of converting both digital and analog signals with a resolution as high as 8 bits over a temperature range of -40 to +85 Celsius. The CS5507-ASZR also features a digital programmable input offset voltage, wide full-scale frequency range, and an integrated digital ramp generator.

If the voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the comparator outputs a frequency signal that is opposite in phase from the first signal. The voltage window comparator takes the output of the voltage-to-frequency comparator and compares it to a range of voltages. If the output falls within the specified range, the comparator’s output can be used to convert the analog signal into a digital signal.

The CS5507-ASZR also contains a digital ramp generator and a digital programmable input offset voltage (DPIOV). The digital ramp generator is used to provide a continuous reference voltage that is used by the voltage-to-frequency comparator. The DPIOV is used to provide an offset voltage to the input signal so that the analog-to-digital conversion is done with precision. The combination of these components allows for an accurate and reliable conversion of an analog signal into a digital signal.
