Working PrincipleThe CS8101YTHA5 is a Linear Voltage Regulator (LVR). The input voltage is compared to the output voltage, and the voltage difference causes a current to flow through the error amplifier. The error amplifier generates an output signal that controls the output voltage of the regulator. This output signal is also sent to the low-side MOSFET, which passes the input voltage to the output, minus the voltage drop across the source of the MOSFET. If the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the voltage difference is dropped across the MOSFET.The positive voltage is set by the adjustment terminal, ADJ.
