Conventionally, the design of DC power supplies in different applications and systems is a challenging task for engineers. When the stability and reliability of a DC power supply is considered to be of utmost priority, the designers choose to implement the Linear type voltage regulators. Linear voltage regulators offer good precision control of the output voltage, good efficiency and excellent long-term stability suffering from low temperature coefficients. Moreover, linear regulators are very cost effective and reliable for isolated applications. With their features, these voltage regulators are ideal for low voltage applications like battery-powered systems, telecom devices, and hand-held devices. The CS8371ET7 is a Linear type voltage regulator designed by CEC(Ceramate Technology Co., Ltd.). It was released at the beginning of 2019, making it one of the latest offerings in the PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear portfolio. This device is capable of delivering an output voltage of 3.3V with a maximum output current of 700mA.
