Working Principle
The working mechanism of CSM-015A-LF is based on the piezoresistive effect, which states that when a pressure is applied onto a conductive material, the resistance in the material will change proportionally. This means that when a pressure is applied onto the transducer, the resistance of the transducer will vary accordingly and the change is detected by a bridge sensor circuit. The bridge sensor circuit is common in controlling pressure measurement devices, and can measure both large and low dynamic pressure range. This is based on the Wheatstone bridge principle, in which four resistors are connected in a plus-minus shape, two long ones at the top and two short ones at the bottom. When the pressure is detected by the pressure transducer, the resistance of the resistor undergo a change and so does the voltage output. This voltage output is the output of the bridge sensor circuit. The output voltage of the bridge sensor circuit will then enter an amplifier circuit and be converted into useful form such as analog or digital.
