Arrays

The CTX100-2 is a two-channel array designed for high performance sound reinforcement applications. It combines advanced acoustic, electrical, and mechanical design features to deliver exceptionally accurate and wide open sound reproduction. The array is comprised of two mid-low frequency transducers, two high frequency compression drivers, and one rear firing subwoofer. The subwoofer and compression drivers are mounted in the center of the array and the two mid-low frequency transducers are mounted on removable wings. This arrangement gives the array a unique ability to create a wide and continuous soundstage, allowing for the accurate reproduction of music and spoken dialogue.

Signal Transformers

The CTX100-2 is designed to handle a wide range of signal levels with incredibly low distortion. It features a hi pass filter, a low pass filter and an adjustable crossover frequency, allowing it to reproduce any type of audio signal with great clarity and accuracy. The signal is amplified by a 1000 watt, Class D amplifier, which is capable of delivering high impact bass and soaring highs. Additionally, the amp features a three-way protection system to keep it running in the event of an overload or other fault.

Working Principle

The CTX100-2 is designed to use the principles of wave field synthesis to create a continuous soundstage. Wave field synthesis is a technique used to create a three-dimensional sound field. The array consists of two mid-low frequency transducers, two high frequency compression drivers and one rear firing subwoofer. These elements are arranged in a specific pattern and use a combination of time-delayed signals to create the desired sound field. Additionally, the array also uses a combination of cardioid and dipole directional response to ensure that the sound field is evenly distributed throughout the listening area.
