CY23FS08OXC-05T is a clock generator, PLL, and frequency synthesizer used in several different applications. It has a 8-bit, 10-bit or 12-bit phase aligned PLL and synthesizer output frequencies of up to 8 GHz. It is also capable of producing signal jitter values that are less than 0.1 UI (Unit Interval) and effectively helps reduce system uncertainty as well as noise.This device includes 3 distinct operating modes that have been optimized to meet the specific requirements of various application fields. These 3 operating modes include Frequency Synthesizer Mode, Free-running mode and Lock-in Frequency Mode. In frequency synthesizer mode, the device can generate programmable frequencies from 100 kHz to 8 GHz. The Free-running mode allows the device to function as a Free-Running VCXO with clock outputs of up to 8 GHz, while the Lock-in Frequency mode is able to generate low-jitter signals with clock accuracy down to +/-20 ppm.CY23FS08OXC-05T also features a selectable output multiplexer that supports both fundamental and derived output formats. It offers a wide range of options in reference level voltage and supply voltage options, making it suitable for a variety of power-sensitive applications. Latest technologies have been used to improve noise performance in order to reduce system uncertainty and the overall jitter capability.CY23FS08OXC-05T is able to operate over a wide temperature range. Through the PLL control loop, the device can inherently compensate for variations in clock input frequency as well as references, such as temperature, Vdd, Crystal and Process variations.
