CY25100SXI-050T Application Field and Working PrincipleClock/Timing - Clock Generators, PLLs, Frequency SynthesizersThe CY25100SXI-050T is an advanced clock generator and programmable PLL. It is based on Cypress\'s proprietary CMOS process, has a high integration level and a global operating frequency range of 1MHz to 297MHz, and can output up to four clocks simultaneously. The CY25100SXI-050T is optimized for use in high-speed digital systems such as communications and data processing under extreme temperature conditions.The CY25100SXI-050T offers several standard clock types including sinusoidal, low-jitter, modulated and crystal-tdelay output. It is suitable for applications requiring low jitter, low noise and smooth clock output. It is also suitable for applications that require high-speed performance, good synchronization and very low EMI.The CY25100SXI-050T operates in two different modes – a PLL-based mode and a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) mode. In the PLL-based mode, the CY25100SXI-050T uses a VCO, an oscillator, a charge pump and a programmable loop filter to generate a reference clock signal. This reference clock signal is then used to program the CY25100SXI-050T via a serial bus. In the DDS mode, the CY25100SXI-050T can generate any frequency between 1MHz and 297MHz using a programmable phase accumulator, a phase detector and a programmable loop filter.
