Working Principle

The CY25811SXCT Clock Generator works based on a Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) system. It takes in a clock input signal which is then compared to an internally generated reference clock signal. The comparison of the input signal to the reference signal is done by a phase comparator. The output of the phase comparator is then used to control a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The VCO is then used to generate the output clock signal.The signal generated by the CY25811SXCT can be adjusted to generate clock signals with very high jitter immunity, excellent frequency stability and a wide operating temperature range. The frequency tuning resolution of the IC can be set to 1% or below 0.1%, depending on the application.
