The CY29653AXI is a programmable clock generator and buffer designed specifically to meet the needs of high-speed data systems with ever-evolving frequency requirements. The device provides support for eight different clock outputs and multiple operating modes, making it well suited for a wide range of applications. Its programmable design enables engineers to easily integrate the device into existing systems and easily adjust the clock settings on demand.
The CY29653AXI consists of a buffered low-power integrated clock generator and multiple outputs capable of providing up to eight system clock frequencies at Clock/Timing frequencies up to 200MHz in single-ended LVCMOS and LVDS outputs. It works with a variety of system speeds, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as communications, cable modems, digital subscriber lines, optical networks, as well as general purpose clock needs.
The CY29653AXI supports both jitter cleanup and clock multiplication. Its integrated clock multiplication circuitry allows output frequencies to be adjusted to suit the needs of the system. It also provides jitter attenuation for reduced system noise and zero-skew outputs for improved clock synchronization. By properly matching the device configuration to the optimal operating frequencies and entering the desired settings into the on-chip registers, the CY29653AXI can be used to produce a wide range of different output frequencies with minimal jitter, making it ideal for edge-of-network timing systems and other demanding applications.

CY29653AXI has also integrated several features to ensure proper operation. The device has been tested to withstand a wide range of conditions from -40°C to +85°C that are often found in consumer electronic, automotive and computer applications. It supports external system reset input, voltage supervisor function and multiple clock trimming options. In addition, the CY29653AXI provides an enhanced testing ability via the programming interface that allows each individual output to be individually tested and adjusted.
