The CY29940AXIT is a high–performance, industrial–grade clock buffer/driver which provides simultaneous high/low fanout to drive FPGA/CPLD, ASIC, DDR and other clock dependent circuits. The CY29940AXIT outputs a rail–to–rail clock signal from the source with very high rise/fall times and no overshoot. Its input clock is sourced from an external SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 259M or other high–speed source. This device utilizes a patented, low–jitter, low–power technology to provide a reliable, low–noise clock for computing and optical communication applications.

The CY29940AXIT supports both Look–Ahead Buffering and Flexible Output Clock Relaxing, providing a 64:1 spread spectrum clock relaxer capabilities. This device also features a sequenced power–up/power–down at all the outputs, is suited for single–ended or differential applications, and provides independent clock rates and speeds. Low–profile or standard packages are available.
