CY2CC910OXCT is a universal input high-performance low-skew integrated clock buffer and clock distribution device. The device features a source select switch with two outputs, allowing designers to easily switch between multiple input sources with only one device. This device provides two buffered outputs, each one capable of driving up to 20 mA of current, enabling a wide range of applications.In terms of application field, CY2CC910OXCT can be used in digital systems such as systems-on-a-chip (SoC), ASICs, and field-programmable-gate arrays (FPGAs) where flexibility of digital clock design is needed. It can be used in switching between multiple input sources (e.g. XO, crystal oscillator, etc.), or as a source select switch to control multiple distribution clocks.In terms of working principle, the device features two high-impedance inputs and two low-impedance outputs. Both outputs are independently buffered, so that they are completely isolated from each other. The device offers both a source select switch and a clock buffer, with one output to control the clock from the secondary source, and a second output to drive the clock from the primary source. When the device is programmed for “source select switch” operation, the SELECT input is used to select the primary or secondary source, with the output of the device preset for either the primary or the secondary source. When the device is programmed for “clock buffer” operation, the SELECT input is used to select a single clock source, with the output of the device driving both outputs.In terms of performance, the device has a minimum output-to-output skew of 5 ps with a maximum output frequency of 200 MHz. It can be programmed on-the-fly to select the primary or secondary input source with a settling time of 200 ns. The device also features tight fan-out control to prevent multiple clock regeneration or jitter accumulation.CY2CC910OXCT is a low-skew clock buffer and clock distribution device that can enable digital clock design flexibility. It is ideal for applications such as switching between multiple input sources, or as a source select switch to control multiple distribution clocks. With the ability to drive up to 20 mA of current and a minimum output-to-output skew of only 5 ps, the device is well suited for any application where reliable clock distribution is required.
